What is LieU’topie ?

LieU’topie is an inclusive, community-driven student organization with strong local roots. It operates as a third space open to everyone – students and non-students alike – offering a welcoming environment that includes a café-bar, a vegan canteen, a solidarity thrift shop, an “equalithèque,” board games, DIY tools, and a chill-out area. Its initiatives are rooted in popular education and encourage students and residents of Clermont to explore new practices and ways of thinking in a friendly, open LieU’topie atmosphere. Open from Monday to Saturday, the organization offers a program centered on cultural activities, the fight against all forms of discrimination, and raising awareness about healthy eating, organic and local farming, and environmental issues. These themes are explored through workshops, panel discussions, conferences, concerts, and many other events.

The organization actively stands against all forms of discrimination and addresses issues related to feminism and LGBTQIA+ representation in public and performance spaces. This commitment is especially highlighted during its March festival month, but it is also reflected throughout its year-round programming and in the way the organization operates on a daily basis.
